Our mission is to create unique opportunities for stakeholders to engage with in-development vegetable and grain cultivars, share insights, and actively contribute to the development of flavorful, resilient varieties suited to organic systems.

What We Do

The Culinary Breeding Network orchestrates a variety of engaging activities aimed at fostering connection and collaboration within the food system across the United States and beyond, including Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Wisconsin, New York, and Italy.

CONVERSATIONS: Engage in participatory meetings, panel discussions, listening sessions, presentations, conferences, and networking events to facilitate dialogue and exchange of ideas among stakeholders.

EXPLORATIONS: Embark on flavorful journeys through tastings, development of flavor wheels, and storytelling via social media and zines. Additionally, launch marketing campaigns to spotlight the unique qualities of culinary offerings.

CELEBRATIONS: Join in on festivities such as the Variety Showcase, Sagra, Festa, and Field Days to celebrate the diversity and richness of agricultural produce, while cultivating a sense of community and appreciation.
